Sherley Haratz


Sherley Haratz is an attorney in the United States and Panama and a founding partner of the law firm of Haratz & Stubbe, LLC. She represents clients facing U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, U.S. embassies and consulates, and the Immigration Courts.


With a focus in immigration, Ms. Haratz brings her experience in multiple jurisdictions providing her with an international outlook in dealing with international clients and providing strategic solutions for them. Ms. Haratz represents her clients in the preparation and filing of immigrant visa petitions, obtaining legal permanent residency, family based petitions and employment based petitions for professional, multinational executives, and individuals with extraordinary ability. Ms. Haratz also represents clients for their non-immigrant visa applications such as treaty investors (E-2) and traders (E-1), professionals (H-1B), individuals with extraordinary ability (O-1), investors and visas for multinational managers and executives (L-1).

  • Legal assistant to the Florida Immigrant Advocacy Center (FIAC), now known as Americans for Immigrant Justice, an immigrants’ rights organization in Miami, Florida.
  • Member of FIAC’s Lucha group, awomen’s legal project, assisting immigrant victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, violent crime, and other abuse.
  • In-house legal department of E. D.& F. MAN in New York City; obtained H-1B and L-1 petitions for employees.
  • Panama’s legal advisor to the United Nation’s International Maritime Organization in London.

  • Community volunteer for JCS Shalom Bayit Domestic Abuse Prevention Program, The American Israel Public Affairs Committee, the Anti Defamation League, and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation.
  • Board member of VIDA Legal Assistance, Inc., a non-governmental organization that represents low-income immigrants.
